Soil is magic. The British who went to India became Indian just as the undocumented Mexicans who step on US soil become American. Colonialism is a myth. Any conflicts that did occur are best classified as Indian civil wars.

It completely challenges their excuse for their shitty position in the world. Personally I think the fact that half of the British Raj and EiC was controlled by princely states is a more interesting fact. There were vast regions of India under Indian rule, yet they failed to produce a better outcome despite the almost complete lack of British interference in their society and economy.
