Eh, I don't know if that's really the case. While Kpop and Kdramas are indeed rising in popularity, they're nowhere near as popular as Japan's cultural export. I went to both last month and desu there isn't that much to do in Korea, it's pretty much just 2 cities. I liked both but I'm definitely going back to Japan, while I'll probably skip Korea for a couple years.
