On the Jeet side of the Himalayas is a military road that goes up to 18000ft or so through the Khardung La pass. So flew to jeetland, bought motorbikes in dheli, rode them north, stopping at hotels along the way.

At the top of the Khardung La you can see India Pakistan China from the same spot with the naked eye. It's pretty incredible desu, and generally I think India would be one of the most beautiful places on the planet if not for the foul beasts that inhabit the country.

It's fucking unreal how they live. The King's Garden has masses of luxury house boats lined up one next to each other. We booked ourselves in to stay there but when we arrived we saw that the boat on one side would pump raw sewerage into the lake and collect the water from the other side. Placing each "water" inlet a few ft next to the sewerage outlet of the next boat. I have never seen something that made me immediately feel sick quite like that. When we asked the clerk they said the sewerage goes into the lake and the lake is clean so it's fine. Fuck. That. Country.

Even though we spent a shitload more than was needed to try and find something remotely clean the reality was I felt like I could scrub my fucking skin off and still feel dirty there. I was warned before I went there about only ever drinking imported bottled water and I suddenly knew why. Utterly disgusting foul literal subhumans.
