Personally I don't feel like marriage is culturally appropriate for straight couples. It seems like homosexuals fought for gay marriage, most people getting married are gay.
I'm having children with my partner and the idea of getting married to me feels to me like I'd be colonising a gay safe space.

In any case if they do go ahead with banning cousin marriage I think they should ensure there is an exception if the cousins identify as being the same gender.
