Not really. the "culture war" is a easy way to defuse political change, similarly to "identity politics" on the left but it has completely spiralled out of control, like i imagined it would years ago. it has more or less created a West Loathing Left, and a West hating Right, who both want the place to look way different then it currently is for better or worse.

It was stupid to try this shit to begin with anyways to keep people away from the economy. because they somehow imagined people would always be tuned into the narrative the talking heads espouse. which those are being completely ignored currently.
And you have enemies abroad, it really doesn't help that you have a significant portion of the right supporting Russia, nor have a significant portion of the left supporting Palestine. who are currently now writing the narratives for your own subjects, but then again they turned both the left and right into rootless mercenaries and expected non rootless mercenary outcomes.
