No rare-earths = no defense
Outsourcing rare-earths supply to China was the biggest geopolitical mistake since WWII.

The biggest geopolitical mistake since ww2 was allowing Russia to continue to exist.

Without Russia, China would have evolved differently.

Trump is as usual completely deluded about how the economy actually works. Japan took 10 years to get their supply to *just* 40% Chinese.

DUH. No shit. It's like if the whole world decided to stop producing oil except to Saudi Arabia.

Yes it was and now it's undeniable how utterly fucking retarded this was and people will remember for several generations.
Sometimes being right also demands great patience.

>hurr durr let's just maintain the status quo what could possibly go wrong
This should have happened decades ago. No fuck that, it never should have happened in the first place, but SOMEBODY has to fix it eventually and that's Trump.

Anon, rare earth minerals are not manufactured.

Rare earth minerals are not interchangeable just as pine forests don't relate to mahogany furnishing exports. You're misinterpreting a statistic.

Well it wasn't so much outsourcing
China bought up rare earths from any country selling it on the cheap around 2005-2009 and it was stated by certain media then that they were stockpiling the fuck out of REM and that eventually this could lead to a global crisis because we use RE for everything including satellites, cellphones and advanced computer systems, even graphix cards

This was always gonna happen sooner or later.
If all of you had kept every cellphone you broke or found you would be sitting on scrap treasure right now, but you just threw it in the waste bin didn't you?

Not a mistake; all part of the plan to collapse the middle class in the West and consolidate all the countries of the world into one open-air prison labor camp.
The average Chinese is just as powerless in all of this as their American counterparts, and it's all being orchestrated by the same international clique.
