I'm from hong kong (I'm White though), and if you fuck around in mainland china, hk, singapore, or basically anywhere in asia, you get swiftly punished (often corporeal) and then you're made to be useful. through labor you rehabilitate yourself and then can be re-released into society once you have paid your restitution/debts to society. if you did something very bad like murder someone for no reason, you get taken out back, shot, and tossed in a ditch. it's very simple.
