I don't know how much supplies the defenders in Pokrovsk have or what the state of their morale is, but no further help is coming to them. So maybe it is 2 weeks, but could be more or less. Either way its a Stalingrad type situation.

They may try, but Russian infrared drones can see in the dark. The drones can see you by your body heat (which becomes much more pronounced as the weather gets colder); but you can't see the drone. At best you might manage to hear it right before it kills you.

The Russian military is powerful enough to walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. That's why they don't advance in only just one location at any given time. Pokrovsk has been broken so they can dial down the intensity in that direction, and focus on something else with the units being freed up.

Its not a question of if Ukraine will be defeated. But they would still like to make as much progress as possible before winter comes and slows things down.

That's an image of a single Russian vehicle (who knows from when or where). This single vehicle from a different time and place does not negate the heap of about 20 vehicles or so shown in the video on the road leading into Pokrovsk.

No one said Russia never lost vehicles or suffered casualties. But scale matters. Ukraine has lost and is losing substantially more.
