Europe is incapable of diving any lesson America has shown them the easy way. Their myopia about the US Civil War made WW1 ten times more awful than if they'd paid attention and not done what the prior conflict displayed to be a terrible way to conduct a war, along with the carnage of the new tech on the battlefield's potential for wholesale slaughter.
