The problem with identifying as a "white" is not that it's a fake category but that it enables white supremacy. Which btw cannot be divorced from the white identity itself, since the only thing uniting all european people in a single group and juxtaposing it against all brown/black people as an "other", is their position as racially superior beings who thus have natural rights over everyone else's land, resources, wealth and labour.

All coherent cultural groups and labels are fabricated unities. This is true for blackness, whiteness, Oyo-ness, Italianness, and so on. The problem unique to "whiteness" as opposed to other identities, is that the only cohering principle, and its only contribution to humanity, is the exclusion of other groups.

What shared tradition, what culture would be lost if people stopped identifying as white and simply identified as German, Italian, American, or hell, Chicagoan, New Yorker and so on? if anything, it would actually help enrich the spread of various local and historical practices and traditions now smoothed over by this vapid identity.

All this talk about privilege, discrimination etc. is completely irrelevant leftist bullshit. I have never wanted to discriminate nonwhites, only remove them from my country. I don't want whites to interact so much with nonwhites that any of this could be relevant.

Because if you don't have a universalist world view, there is no value to rating a race morally. It's just an either deadly or peaceful conflict for dominance. And if you do have a universalist world view, then it's hypocritical and racist to make moral judgements on a race.

Since they lack logical consistency, but they aren't written by dumb people, only one explanation remains: the authors are trying to tailor a message precisely to make use of the universalist view of the reader, while they themselves have no such view.

They're a message turn people's psyche against themselves if they belong to the group, and a letter of marque giving license to other groups to attack the group.

People will get angry and accuse me of being a fence-sitter but I sincerely believe multiple sides (political sides/racial or ethnic identity-politics groupings) have valid and legitimate racial grievances. From right-wing ultranationalist Whites to Blacks, Arabs, Jews, whoever. In this sense I am a genuine radical centrist, in terms of having views offensive to both sides.
Some things ultra-nationalist Whites accuse Jews of being or doing is also pretty similar to what some powerful Whites do or are like, for instance, especially with shit like covert CIA coups and plots across the world that make other nations hate Americans (or the White West generally) and view us as just being as greedy, territorialist, expansionist, sinister, untrustworthy, exploitative, crony-capitalist and heartless to designated outsiders as the worst of Jews are (or are accused of being).
Om the other hand, I think the average White person on the street also has some valid racial grievances with things like the African-American violent crime rate if we’re talking of the U.S., this being downplayed in media and education compared to rarer instances of the other way around (a White attacking or killing a Black), and their own country’s elites throwing them under the bus with mass migration from poorer and browner countries, essentially totally transforming their culture and nation; + the similar case in Western Europe + the Anglosphere with mass migration and White Guilt Identity Politics.

It's an individualist vs. collectivist thing. Europeans are largely individualist. Non-Europeans (including jews) are largely collectivist.

The scale of collectivism to individualism obviously varies between European nations/cultures; to consider Europe as a cultural and ethnic monolith would be as incorrect as assuming all Africans are the same, or all Asians, or calling every hispanic a "Mexican." However, even the most rigid Prussian will still be less likely to favour or defend other Germans than an indian or a phillipino or an african would favour their own kind. Not to say anything of the myriad of other differences in attitude and beliefs.
