Of course. That's why the languages are called Indo-European. Groups invaded/migrated to both Europe and the Indian subcontinent. But the latter ended up mixing. They probably mixed a bit to create a caste of "in-betweens" that they would interact with and who would oversee the slave caste but then they mixed with those and so on. The lesson here is that no laws no matter how strict will protect you from diluting. It's best to just live away from people you don't want to mix with.
