2007, the first iPhone and the beginning of "smart"phones. Before smartphones, to access the internet, you had to go into a cave where a "computer" was, which removed yourself from social contact, and made the internet a domain beyond the social domain that is the only thing the female limbic system can understand. Once the smartphone came about, then so did female access to the internet, which made "social media" dominant the entire internet. This is because it completely overrided the female brain, and they couldn't handle the short-circuit reward system involved with social media. From there, things began going downhill fast.
Arguably, this started with the sexual revolution in the 1970s, and "really" began with women getting the right to vote; but there was a CLEAR inflection point about 2007 unlike those two other points that you could've argued that maybe we would've still had a chance to evolve cultural institutions to deal with those new phenomena. This is just too much, hijacks the female brain too much, and is continuing to develop too fast for them to handle.
