I fucking hate it when I see an American who doesn't understand the constitution.
You're a fucking moron, and I'm going to educate you real fast: The constitution, and the Bill of Rights specifically does not GRANT you rights. It assumes that you have those rights by virtue of being born. You have them by default, because you are a fucking human. All the constitution does is explicitly restricts the US government's ability to violate your fundamental rights, because the constitution supposes that violating a man's fundamental rights is inherently evil within the canon of western ethics.
Okay? Even North Koreans have these rights, their rights are just being violated on the daily.
>The 1st ONLY protects you from criminal liability from the state.
No, the first amendment says you have those rights, period, as a human, regardless of anything. It has nothing to do with being an American, or our legal system, or anything like that. By virtue of being born, you have the right to your own thoughts and the freedom to express those thoughts. All the Bill of Rights does is recognize that, and further guarantee that since US government formally recognizes those rights, the founding fathers have explicitly forbade themselves or the government they made from ever violating them.
That's how it works.
