No, the composite materials that they use on the F-35 is all Carbon based polymers. All the REE's used are in electronics except for the Radar absorbent paint which uses Yttrium which isn't uncommon but fucking sucks to process. So the US only refines a small amount each year as a result, which still puts it into the second Yttrium producer despite it (unless Myanmar has passed).
