Trump wants to appear strong in negotiations but china is tired of his bullshit. He keeps doing the same thing repeatedly but everyone's catching on. He doesn't need the tariff threat anymore, he already used it. He wants to get a headline after the talks coming up, claiming a "great victory" where the tariffs go away and stocks rally harder.

China didn't ban exports, they just refused to sell rare earths for military production. Why should they fund a foreign government's military? We shouldn't fund theirs either, which is why we're not allowing AI chips to flow to them.
