heroism and power are attractive to boys. You're confused by the fact that when you're only allowed to enjoy it in fiction, most boys become escapist for those things they cannot have in real life.
The problem is you're forbidden from all the good things in life when young. So doing anything in the real world feels dogshit, fake, unfair and pathetic, while something like LotR somehow has everyone acting like human beings and fighting evil and working towards great goals.
What's a great goal today? Rockets to Mars? But Elon musk gives no 2 shit for anybody, but the cheapest worker. He even just manufactures his own kids and doesn't know the love of a family.
It's not a fuckin mystery why young people don't want to do shit.
When boomers were kids they played by stomping on frogs and beating each other up. Even millennials played old PS1 games with friends in person.
What are people expected to do today? Kow-tow to feminism and pretend to like niggers and retarded schoolwork until they're 25? Fuck that. It's inhuman. It makes men want to kill themselves. The only solution is just set everything on fire and we all know it. But not until we can enjoy some videogame where the world is actually somewhat pleasant to be in.
And women aren't any better. They're designed to live protected from society by men. Even though they tolerate bullshit more, living exposed to everything makes them kill themselves even more so they try to make the government and social opinion protect them. It's all they know how to do. They also spend their days in fiction just like the boys. Read any female-target comic or book. They're always being spoiled and pampered like kids in the end. it's what they want. No responsibility or decisions or action or building things.
