They didn't really win, unless you want to call it a pyrrhic victory. This is part of the reason they were willing to end the war, they had lost so much for pretty much no gain. Trump helped push it further by touring Arabia and getting all those guys in on a plan for Gaza. Since Netanyahu is part of a more nationalist party, this all is probably hurting him politically. Thus, part of the agreement is likely for Trump to say that he is valuing his country by making peace. Ultimately though, everyone over there will win once that giant trade route is finished. Warhawks everywhere are the true losers as their Middle Eastern playground is wrapping up as the conflicts die down. The "war on terror" chapter has finally ended.
