I think it is likely US does UBI program, but it will require, "taking the mark" / scarring your conscience in giving the means of your life over to technology and the gay kike mammon demon that uncle samantha serves.
From what I've seen, people do all sorts of legalistic chicanery in avoiding creditors, taking out small business loans, and as a last resort or primitive option, debt maxing their own social security number, then bumming around for seven years, maybe collecting EBT and just existing, but there is no permanent option or stability, other than being homeless and dependent on strangers, or totally starved / gone.
With AI, the hope is we do robotics in an extensible way, fully free software, not so much to mitigate the need for drudgery, but mostly to delete the profit motive, and lead towards an architecture based on time, knowledge, and research. Could be a legit golden age.
