You kind of need a happy population and cheerful spirits and pleasant state of country for tourism.

All of these elements are choked to death in a right wing persecution complex classist "leadership" and government that thinks they own leisure, enjoyment, sex, attractiveness, and autonomy. They are not capable of being hospitable, and they are losing business to those who can: international tourism out of the US is growing and the is also the only city experiencing a decline in international tourism into the US. Vegas is a boomer Mecca and they're all dying off or settling down not wanting to travel anymore. Vegas would have to adapt to the newer generations to get them to come spend money. I don't want to throw it away on gambling scams. They'd basically have to turn the place into a giant red light district and entertainment hub since there's a lot of incels and bored roasties.

Too expensive. Vegas was fun when it was kinda cheap. Now it’s just stupid.

Most of the games there have blatantly negative expectation and since younger generations have better critical thinking, since they need it to survive unlike boomers, they realize this immediately. Only game you can realistically make money in is poker and there are generally card rooms a lot closer than Vegas, but more importantly the vast majority of serious poker players today are introverted math nerds who do it online and like a dozen tables at once
