My pet theory is many public policy “debacles” are actually intended to get more people more prepared. The constant push of “gun control someday” plus the race riots and Covid lockdowns lead a lot of people to buy more guns, ammo, body armor, medical supplies and food storage. More people are more self-sufficient now than at any time since back when most of us were farmers.
