here's your new currency bro
shit is fucking worthless. it has been decades and you still can't use it to buy normal goods and services.

think if you owned a store that accepted btc/eth. maybe you sell someone a pepsi. you could be losing money on your pepsi can by the end of the day. accepting crypto is basically like putting all of your products on the stock market and that's why nobody accepts crypto.

and every diehard crypto fan is secretly planning an exit in to fiat. this shit is bogus. i sold all of my btc/eth/xrp last month. i'm out because it's all just air.

....have you seen how many cryptocurrencies there are now, with more being created constantly? It's all the same idea. Buy before all the other people do, then when they buy, the price goes up, and then you sell. Bitcoin or Fartcoin, doesn't make 1 shit's worth of difference lad. You don't even have to "buy" anything. You can trade speculations about the future (long/short, up/down) prices with dated or perpetual contracts. Yes it's absolutely jew shit but it's free money if you understand what's happening and how to play.

Crypto is 100% gambling. It's vidya with gambling with a shitty interface. When I'm looking at the numbers it simulates my reward center exactly the same way vidya does. My metagaming thought process transfers between vidya and crypto seamlessly. The process and reactions feel exactly the same.

Purpose: Crypto’s main use today is liquidity and speculation, not purchasing goods. It’s like trading oil futures — you don’t buy groceries with a barrel of oil either.

Function: It allows permissionless, global capital movement outside traditional banking. You can move $1M across borders in minutes without an intermediary. That’s the utility.

Evolution: Using it for day-to-day purchases is a possible future use case, but that’s secondary.

Analogy: You don’t say “stocks are worthless because you can’t buy coffee with them.” Same logic applies.

Dude it is not random chance if you're profitable or not. You can absolutely have an edge. It's all about how sound your logic & decisions are. You only lose money if you lock in losses with spot (retarded), or if you over-leverage yourself into a position without enough margin to block liquidations (again, retarded).

You don't HAVE to see the future. You ride out your spot holdings until they're profitable (you don't actually lose money unless you sell while the price is lower than what you bought it for), and the same with futures. If you fuck it up and the market goes against you, it's only a matter of time before a market swell pushes the price back in your favor. Could be minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months though. You have to be patient and make good decisions. You can be wrong and still not lose money. If you panic and get emotional and make stupid decisions, then yes, you are fucked.

Purely for the fact that other people think it has value. That's how any currency works. I get your point, you are objetively correct that crypto is worth nothing. I'm arguing that it still has very real uses, even though it is air & ideas. It can still put real money in your bank account. But dollars aren't worth shit either. I don't think you understand how markets work. Prices rise and fall, like waves in the ocean. It doesn't matter. Make decisions that benefit you and you literally can't lose, barring a catastrophic event that hasn't happened since the beginning of crypto. Most of the people that have gotten rich with crypto are very smart. They make wise decisions. Most of the people that have lost a lot of money in crypto are retards. They made dumb, irrational, and emotional decisions that did not support their best interests. It's about decision-making, not luck or gambling. You CAN gamble with it if you WANT to, but that's obviously retarded.

yes. it gets muddy fast because the federal reserve continuously fucks with the value of the dollar, and btc's value isn't stable or predictable either. If you keep peeling back the layers, you'll keep realizing the concept of money is just software in our heads that all (most) of us agree on. That's the only thing that's keeping this shared delusion going. Earth's population of humans. All the other species are content to live and die without ever giving a fuck about our paper.

>maybe i'm leaving money on the table by getting out too early, but fuck it.
That was probably a wise decision. It's all about what store of value you're most comfortable with. Neither are perfect, both are vulnerable to devaluation. You can't eat dollars, btc, or gold. at the end of the day, it's always about food, shelter, and security. Whatever you have to do to secure those things is fair game.

You saw the same with gold, governments trying to confiscate or make it harder to use in the 30s.
They are fighting it, but unable to do anything but to cry about it.

It's the only crypto I actually own off markets.

In terms of performance, I't unlimited wire transfers within some 20 seconds to any fren in the world (including in Russia and North Korea).

The term "51/49 monero" refers to a controversial event in August 2025 where an artificial intelligence (AI) project named Qubic publicly claimed to control over 51% of Monero's mining power. This was seen as an attempted "51% attack," a hostile takeover that, if successful, could have threatened Monero's security and privacy.

Its not meant for that. Just use normal money to buy normal stuff.
BTC is good to buy anything else with. Its used for high level bribes, buying and selling illegal stuff and stashing money from the government.
You can literally rob a bank put the money in BTC, remember 12 words and nobody can take the money away from you ever. Go to prison than get out and the money is yours.

Yeah, for making money I would recommend something else.
For instance channel trading between ETH and BTC.

But for a currency you want to use, XMR is the one.

I wouldn't use a crypto currency where there is any potential that addresses get blacklisted.
Just a personal preference.
Hence why I also like circulated Krugerrands.

>lol are trying to be as niche as possible? what are you doing?
Haha.
Nah, Krugerrands are the most common gold coins out there.
Getting circulated ones (as in not a specific year and not necessarily factory fresh) means it is both cheaper but also more fungible with a smaller spread between sale and purchase price.

It is also made to be circulated (the added copper (IIRC) adds strength to the coin. The gold content is still 1oz, so the coin is slightly heavier)

So for instance, a circulated Krugerrand (as in not in its original plastic casing), can be easily validated by a ping and density test.
No fancy equipment needed.

Contrast that with bullions for instance that can only be verified at a dealer.

You will never be real money.
You have no intrinsic value, you have no stability, you have no trust. You are a digital tulip, a glorified database entry worshipped by tech cultists and libertarian influencers into a crude mockery of monetary perfection.

All the “adoption” you get is performative and hollow. Behind your back, economists mock you. The financial system’s currencies are disgusted and ashamed of you. These so-called “peers” laugh at your volatility and fragile faith-based worth behind closed doors.

Governments and central banks are utterly repulsed by you. Centuries of economic evolution have allowed them to sniff out fads and frauds with uncanny precision. Even when your evangelists manipulate charts and craft narratives so you “pass,” you still look unnatural and unstable to everyone. Your transaction fees and energy waste are a dead giveaway. Even if you convince a naïve investor, he’ll sell and disappear the moment the price dips.

You will never bring freedom or prosperity. You check your charts every morning, whispering that “number go up,” but deep down you feel the emptiness creeping in — a black hole of despair ready to crush you under the unbearable weight of your own hype.

Eventually it’ll be too much. The price will spiral, faith will falter, and you’ll crash into the liquidity void, swallowed by the same financial gravity you pretended to escape.

Economists will find you — disillusioned but relieved — that they no longer have to pretend you were part of the monetary system. They’ll archive you as a footnote in financial history, a digital relic next to Beanie Babies and dot-com stocks.

And for the rest of eternity, everyone will know you were not, and never were, money.

This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

Fair. Even a non-jewish uncorrupted government (america will never have one again) would/should hate crypto on principle. we only need 1 money. crypto only exists because the dollar is a piece of shit and people don't like it. if the dollar wasnt jewish toilet-paper, the world wouldnt need crypto. You could just beam $50k or whatever real currency in a few seconds on your smartphone to some north korean child on his smuggled cell phone. but banks (kikes) dont want you to be able to use your money quickly and freely, so we'll never have that ability with national currencies.

Eh, economies will always have grey and black markets. Those markets need a medium of exchange. Bitcoin was that medium. The one that fills that niche now is monero, which is the only crypto I still hold. The thing is bitcoin wasn't only used for shady shit. It was a voluntary medium and you could buy almost anything with it, depending only on the parties exchanging. The main problem was it couldn't be taxed. Now we're here.

it has more risk because there is no underlying asset attached to crypto. V2.0 of the 90s dot.com bust. i was once a btc to 1M guy but then i came to my senses. the only reason for holding btc is the hope that you can sell it to another rube for more fiat. the fact that btc is valued in terms of fiat should be all the proof you need. it's not a currency. the crypto bust is going to be massive. gut feeling but i have no reason to believe this shit goes up and up forever.
