Norwegians are not rich, they just live in a high price economy. The high income they have gives them the same quality of life as Germans have, where average salaries and living costs are half of what they have in Norway.
Norwegians are not the richest by any standard. Not the richest economy due to a low population. Not the highest average income especially not after taxation. Their state oil fund returns on investment do not cover 20% of their annual GDP, which means it does not substitute for a decent economy. They cannot live off their oil funds only, not even for 2 montha.
Norway being the richest and best country is a socialist propaganda pushed in the Norwegian media very heavily. Norwegians fall for it, as scandinavian races are gullible.
I cannot tell you how many Norwegians were shocked to learn that the average salary in London is higher than the average salary in Norway or Oslo. It was almost like their propaganda brainwashed glass castle image of themselves shattered. In west London, the average household income is 150k pounds per year. Norwegians go spastic when they hear this. They were brainwashed to think that they are the richest. They go mental when they see bigger, more impressive buildings in Paris, London etc. Almost all of their historical buildings are wooden sheds.
They were fishers, hunters-gatherers until the 1960s with a historically and culturally irrelevant impact on the world.
