It’s funny that many christians say that sentence unironically.
In Islam it would be considered blasphemy to claim that Christianity is based off Judaism let alone claiming that Islam is.
In Islam, true religions are from God, and since they all have the same source they are expected to be similar. There is no such thing as one religion is a copy of the other one or based on the other one. This implies that either the new religion is fabricated copy or that god lacks the capacity and the ability to create a new religion out of thin air.
According to Islamic philosophy God would still have been able to create both Christianity and Islam even without Judaism existing.
So the claim that they are based of each other is false.
