I would defy anyone who claimed that message is hateful. It is a demand for getting rid of the bullshit. The subterfuge. Making the country appear worth investing in or loaning money to because 'gdp go up' through the manipulation of flooding us with foreigners. We're drowning and their solution is to pour more water on like we're burning.
That message is an appeal for more rational economic policy.
Gavin Boby, also know as the 'mosquebuster' has a long and rather detailed argument in favor of 'humane collapse' that is well worth looking at. Any economic system that requires a constant influx of immigrants is a FAILING system. We can either let these fuckers continue to press on the gas to gain paper solvency while destroying comity between people, push housing and other necessities of life out of most people's reach, or we can bring the fucking temple down on all our heads and build something else from the rubble.
So no, your honor, this was not a 'hate crime', it is a rational appeal for a saner system of government. It is a demand for accountability from our leaders. A demand they stop destroying what makes life worth living in favor of line-go-up.
And I didn't even destroy the functionality of the sign. Everyone knows what that shape, color and word means. Adding to is is not even a safety violation, though I do recognize it is a bit more serious than spray painting on a billboard or a blank wall or fence.
