>Day 3 of not drinking
I had a daily drinking habit for about 3-4 years, and took another year to fully get off the liquid jew.
I looked within and found myself there. (after countless hours in a shitty basement in front of a whiteboard)
I found the reason for my existence.
Once I did that, the liquid jew has had no power over me, because it hinders the reason why I'm on this planet.
Consult my chart, and look within.
Only you have your answer and it's up to you, and you alone, to find it.
Good luck
Your fren

Weed has its place. I suggest you take your pain as a gain. You know you need to get through it to normalize your chemistry and emotions. Everyone who smokes weed ( i was/am one ) goes through serotonin withdrawal that will make you chimp out and break walls and ruin relationships. Dont take advice from these people. Find distraction. 15 minutes at a time becomes one day at a time becomes one week at a time.

AA has been weird as fuck for me every time. They are all old as hell, or gangster / poor as hell, and have all these horrible stories about how they stole this or that to get high / drunk.

Or they are or started court mandated for DUIs and shit. I've never had a DUI, I just go buy some good bottom shelf liquor and try not to drink so much I can't stand up.

I'd switch to opioids because they're easier on your healthy, but but finding good clean opioids is a bitch if not impossible these days.

somewhere in the first week of being completely clean, I get slammed with a ton of problems. I can't think strait, I can't lift as much, everything become a huge effort and I feel sick on top of it.

I think you may have never been a "real alcoholic", or maybe your body just wasn't abele to get addicted to it like mine and lot of others? Day 3-4 for most people is when you can start to get dangerous withdraws, DTs, the years of your brain depending on liquor to run starts becoming apparent as you almost have some kind of diabetes. Insane sugar cravings etc...

The main problem with the delirium is that you wont know its happening , you are already mentally gone long before the symptoms kick in. The shakes are fine and all the other bullshit like sweating and non stop high pressure vomiting doesnt matter, if you have actual cramps thats a good time to talk to someone about it. When the ants show up or you start having conversations with the furniture or whatever you are basicly a cointoss from waking up dead.

In either case i would just get on benzos asap, it makes it so much easier for you and the rate of long term success simply skyrockets. And its risk free, you are not hurting anyone, you are helping yourself get through the worst and also just survive. Theres literally zero downsides to this, and you must really hate yourself to force yourself to go through it for absolutely no reason at all.

what vile trickery is this?

it's pretty simple actually:
the positive effects of alcohol like, euphoric mood, dsinhibition etc. happen due to the increase (up variation) of alcohol in your blood, not the total blood alcohol.
therefore you need to keep drinking to keep the effects

so it's a good idea to drink many small portions of alcohol over a long period instead of falling into a bottle

>Ciggies smell and taste worse than they did in the 10s and prior
>Weed, whether it's CBD store shit and actual weed, is not the same as it was in the 10s prior
>Alcohol is significantly worse in quality where I've been drinking the same vodka for ages and it got noticeably worse in effects
>Anything else, coke, shrooms, etc, once again, has gotten noticeably shittier.
Do I want to? Fuck yes. But I know the quality isn't there anymore. Like a video game that got 1 bad update and stopped being fun. Like I said, shrooms that come from myself or someone I trust are the only drugs I'll take if I feel like taking anything.

For me, it was the ritual as much as the anxiety.

I'd drink to feel comfortable but the next morning I'd get twice as anxious. That went away when I discovered the booze was making it worse long-term.

So the next step was to replace the drink in my hand with something less detrimental, I started with lemon lime bitters and non-alcoholic ginger beer and gradually cut back to soda water and water. As long as the stuff in my hand is cold, refreshing and (sometimes) fizzy, I don't miss it. It's been about a decade now and I have a Cruiser once a month or so in good company without the need to keep going. The night before is simply not worth the morning after. Good luck.

Nice!
Also for any hard drinkers, if you suddenly stop it will mess with your neurological and cardiovascular system.
The brain suppresses chemicals that get released when drinking stops.
And the alcohol thins the blood, so stopping instantly causes huge heart issues.
Delirium tremors. If you go to ER for it they will make you sit there for a day and suffer. Body chills, cold sweats, heart pounding, and neurological issues to light and sound.

Yet 1 shot fixes it. That's why people when they want to drop a bender, can't.

The solution (provided you have discipline), is to taper off slowly. It always works even in extreme cases. Just takes a day or 2.

Substitution is easier. I've seen people trying to kick cigarettes move to wooden cigarettes, lollipops and toothpicks just for the sensation.

Whatever you drink, just put it in a tall glass and add three ice cubes. Don't go overboard with fancy mocktails but add the sensation. The clink of the cube in the glass, the chill of the ice on your tongue. Stir that shit with a long spoon or knock some water back in a shot glass and pretend it's disgusting if you like (hardcore mode- wheatgrass shot. That shit is legitimately disgusting but good for you). Sit at a small table in the cold night air and down some soda water while listening to your favourite music. Then revel in the feeling of waking up without a splitting headache and a dancing liver.
