ME, NH, and VT are great if you're right on the coast in a suburban town or surbuban or less density town.

That's the truth, I live in NH and every institution seems to be focused on growing the state by importing shitskins. Everything is getting ridiculously expensive and we are quickly turning into some SA oligarchy with the huge influx of the super rich and super poor squeezing out the middle class. Quality of life is nosediving, but economic metrics are going up.

It won't start getting good again until the white liberal godless boomers begin to pass away. All of the reason they make NE suck will actually set up circumstances that make it so that real estate will get cheaper and cheaper and any inheritors of their land will actually be in a worse and worse situation every year as there is a) way less young working families available to buy their real estate and b) 2 million boomers dying every year for the next 20 years. Inventory will start climbing in probably 5 years, at which point NE might start to correct. There is no good solution to this, even immigrants vote against more immigrants, and the boomers will have less and less political power every year going forward, so they'll be less and less able to bend things to increase the immigration they would need to prop up their home prices. All in all, there's probably gonna be some nice pieces of property with some good deals in 10 years or so, but that's a long time to wait.
