Those passages that emphasize having children were written in a time where there was a SERIOUS risk of a civilization going extinct from not breeding enough, coupled with very high infant mortality rates, when villages were less than 300 people. This is in no way analogous to today, like much of the bible, the reasoning eclipsed by human and scientific development
