Housing isn't expensive. Our governments, out of sheer greed, just allowed people and businesses to use property as investment market. Anyone who has any money, buys up property because its the best return on investment you can get.

The bottom image is a structurally engineered timber frame kit, the top one is a skeleton made on site from 2x4s, a mexican and a nailgun. The author of the image is trying to imply they're the same.

Ok, I'll bite. A nice Fachwerk isnt just orthogonally arranged beams screwed together, but a clever construction that can handle forces from different directions. Also, mostly the room between the beams would be filled with stones. It's not the same as those cardboard houses. Entering a centuries old Fachwerkhaus is impressive.

Yes, he's implying that the German is being biased because it's totally the same image but the flaw is that the second image is actually a much more well constructed frame with proper timber, so the German 'jaks reaction is actually justified, so the creator of the image is retarded.

land is a measure of wealth.
flippers buy a house . possibly on loan.
and then they sell it to atleast recoup their interest on said loan. this causes the price to always go up esp if you sell to another flipper.
real estated developers do this.
i dont know how they asses land but apperent its a job you call someone out there and they appraise your land.
poor people arent allowed to own their homes .

I doubt any construction method is going to be invulnerable to the most severe tropical hurricanes but timber frame kit is the dominant construction method here (Scotland) for new houses and consists of an engineered pre-built frame that is assembled by crane on site, with a outer skin of concrete block and waterproof render built around it. It would be an order of magnitude more resilient than a typical suburban US house made from 2x4 with plywood cladding and stucko.

>It would be an order of magnitude more resilient than a typical suburban US house made from 2x4 with plywood cladding and stucko.
Actually depends on how it's constructed. 2x4 homes can be incredibly strong as long as the home is secured to the foundation via metal straping/ties and the framing members are secured to each other.
The real home killer is debris not really the home falling over/getting picked up
>t. worked in construction building homes that have survived hurricanes and tornados. in 2x4, timber framed, and hewn log cabins.

The thing most people won't admit to is that if you use coastal building codes (post-Hurricane Andrew reforms) using "just" 2x4s and plywood have survived Cat 4-5 hurricanes while older concrete block homes next door were destroyed. The difference was the engineering and code compliance, not the materials.

The true chad home is Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)

It has become a scam that feeds many mouths.

Lumber industry, contractors, electricians, floor layers, carpenters, landscapers, plumbers, roofers, realtors, masons, drywall installers, hardware retailers... etc... huge fucking list.

Because there's so many people and involved, they're able to pass laws to protect their scam; to keep you from building your own house out of whatever the fuck you want.

And it gets worse: they almost always build the houses as cheap and fast as possible and starts falling apart right away. In fact it's designed to fall apart because the same people make money off of home repair.

Okay so let's say like in the school books you want to buy something, and a craftsman wants to sell something. He tells you the price and you buy it. He wants $50k for a completed house. Easy right? Now imagine 100,000 kikes enter your country because Hitler lost the war. The kikes all get in line in front of the craftsman and every last one of them demands a fee to move. Vile Schlomo introduces himself and says they have signed paperwork that that reads "all goyim must pay $1 to pass. It's the law." It's only a dollar so you pay. You now have to pay every last kike before you can get to the craftsman. You play by the rules and pay the kikes one at a time. By the time you pay all the original kikes they've had children and their children are standing in line. You pay them too and finally reach the craftsman who informs you the house is sold to schlomo and associates for $100,000. You scream in frustration and are promptly arrested for antisemitic remarks.

That's why houses cost so much.

>In 2013 A hand hewn cabin was destroyed in that exact way of the greentext

>In 2019, a pre-Civil War, hand-hewn log cabin was discovered under the siding of a house on Detroit's east side.
>When the cabin was found, preservationists worked to have it moved to a historical park in Hamtramck.
>However, the Detroit Land Bank Authority, which owned the property, demolished the structure before it could be salvaged.

>In 2025 Texas, An insurer notified a couple that it would drop their coverage unless they covered their hand-hewn cabin with siding
>A move that would have destroyed the structure's aesthetic and historical appeal. The couple could not afford the change and lost their insurance.

You share walls with immigrant families lol

Lmao no. The houses that survive are:
>on stilts to keep out of storm surge
>block and concrete construction
>heavily secured metal roof
>storm shutters on all windows
>steel doors
And even with all that it's a 50/50.

There is always a loophole to these things, have the building classified as an historic building and now the bureaucrat jew can't do anything about it anymore.

While I mostly agree with you sentiment, banks and the tax man still profit off durable houses, but indeed less so.

>Die
>House goes to kids
>Death tax has to be payed over the (((current market value)))
Or
>old houses are part of the same housing "AIR QUOTES" market "AIR QUOTES"
>just as insanely priced
>no escape from paying rent to the bank

Truth is, there is good money to be made from rot, decay, strife, destruction, and replacing old thing with new thing.
You can't make as much money when people collectively decide what they have is good enough.

>Bottom: traditional timber frame. Uses less wood, wood is much higher quality, and it's stronger & more aesthetic.
There is a reason to hate the top. It's cheap shit for cheap bastards.

it is OK if you live in it. Owning a home has been great for me and my family. Definitely less money than renting. But more risk, too. Lot of factors out of tour control affect the value of it. So I wouldn't "invest" in second property unless it was in well known vacation spot.

It's not only Germany. All of Europe is cucked like this. You should see the state of shitaly. We live in bureaucracy land where the state decides every single aspect of your life. But the funny thing is that the US is heading in the same direction, or even worse actually, and you don't even realize it

nice idea. but the principle is outdated, and it looks mcmansion weird. the entrance door and the partial glass fillings kinda ruin it. also the roof. there was good reason for roofs tiled with differently coloured matte tiles in the past. check out originals from the time. half their cosy impression goes back on the randomly natural appearance of the roof. high gloss monolith is the worst.

not really, and instead of falling for this silly bait every single time, we should acknowledge the creativity of the various solutions to local conditions / obstacles, whether the results can still be called housing and at what point tkd becomes inevitable.
