No anon you are totally wrong. The value of crypto is the technology. It's not a rock. Gold is the rock. The only reason Bitcoin and crypto is worth so much is the proof of work. The math. The blockchain.

Some people just can't understand the value of something is in its usefulness and not just objectivity. You can use the blockchain to move money across borders. You can secure your wealth digitally without a bank and de centralized, discreet. If i wasn't afraid of getting rich i would've all inned crypto 15 years ago.

Remember the meme
>"Enjoy being poor"

The crypto investors knew the possibilities and technology of crypto was useful and worth a lot of money.

Been hearing that for 15 years.
Bitcoin itself may be a house of cards if they dont update the network before 2040, the block rewards will be so low that people won't spend thousands on power bills to secure the network.

Crypto tech in general is too good at secure payment and info transfers to just die off

You can get a crypto filled visa debit card and buy whatever you want with Bitcoin, Ethereum or whatever coin you want and is supported by your card issuer. Furthermore, SWIFT is integrating Chainlink for on chain financial solutions and large banks are developing their own internal blockchains that will be integrated with public chains via Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol. Crypto is already getting integrated into the financial system, and you are here shouting about how you understand money better than the Federal Reserve and other central banks that are already hopping on the blockchain train. It would be funny if it wasn’t such blatant well poisoning

Thats all related to the fact its so fucking slow. Its a weird technology that doesn't lock its database and remains immutable. They could potentially upgrade bitcoin I guess. But the developers claim they would need to shut the blockchain down for a year ( lmao ) just to make sure that everything is working properly. They can't like do small patches or whatever because people would probably lose money due to any complicated bugs that might get introduced.

The Elite OPENLY tell you crypto is the future. It is going to be used to prop up the US dollar via stable coins. Did you even see the Genius Act?

>In connection with the Act's passage, the Comptroller of the Currency issued a statement emphasizing that the law "places digital asset activities on the same prudential footing as other core banking services" and underscored that the Comptroller's role will be to "translate congressional intent into clear supervisory expectations." In plain terms: this statute moves digital asset activities out of the gray zone of "regulatory risk" and into the black letter of U.S. banking law—and for any CEO of a regulated depository institution, the wake-up call is that Congress just told your regulators that digital assets are now part of your business model…whether you like it or not.

I think it came up during a discussion about upgrading the number of bits used for encryption. Since by now they are like almost already approaching the danger zone. Especially with all this AI crap they are making huge datacenters. I bet Elon could crack a bitcoin if he wanted to.

So basically I think were suggesting a modification to the blockchain would require a year downtime. And increasing the number of tps might require an edit to the blockchain.

yeah but I'm right that bitcoin only does 7 transactions per second and its wallet keys are 256 bit? Im right about that right? And the entire blockchain is a bunch of transactions that are also generated from 256 bit keys?

You're making a stupid point. If this guy knows a funkopop collector who will pay 100k for a rare funkopop your funkopop is still worthless TO HIM but he knows he can get something he ACTUALLY VALUES from someone else by using it. Just because there are retards willing to exchange money for something useless doesn't mean it's worth something to another party. You're conflating the fact that he can flip the asset for profit with some kind of value he himself is placing on it. Every single person would take your Bitcoin for less than what another person would pay for it so they could flip it to them. This argument is asinine in proving that there is actually value to the good itself
