When it does get up and running, the realistically the best case scenario would be matching current tariff induced prices. The idea that American made can match the scale to drive prices down lower than now doesn't make sense unless we're heavily subsidizing the industry. It would take decades for anything remotely positive to come from this in terms of prices.

There's also no reason to have any faith in this administration of incessant rugpulls from crypto pump and dumps to insider trading to actually reward production and doing things, It's more likely to be cronyism. At least when the Asian Tigers' central banks were doing packet guidance, they had the balls to cut off industries from cheap credit if they didn't show positive progress in a few years.
