Jesus would have despised it all
>Revelation 17:4 KJV
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
The purple and scarlet colour, decked with gold, was first worn by Julius Caesar in B.C. 44 - Febuary 15th to the feast of Lupercal.
Thereafter all Ceasars started wearing it and the tradition continued right down into the Roman Catholic clergy and worn proudly by many popes.
>Revelation 17:5 KJV
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
>THE MOTHER
In 251 A.D. Cyprian, bishop of Carthage declared: “He can no longer have God for his Father, who has not the church for his mother.” After which the religion of Roman Catholicism took on the name "Mother Church."
Also, at the Council of Ephesus, where they once cried: "Great is Diana of the Ephesians" - Acts 19:34 KJV, they now exalted Mary as the "Theotokos," "the bearer," or "Mother of God."
>Revelation 18:7 KJV
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
>I sit a queen
Mary is known as the "Queen of Heaven" in Roman Catholicism. Meanwhile: the only Biblical mentions of said title are all prescribed to a goddess idol (Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17-19, 44:25 KJV).
