They will do well in their career yet feel bored, restless, as though something needs to be done, then one day something, an external event, or an internal epiphany or change in their lives, will drag them into political life.

Conditions in the future will allow it. White people will want to flee to growing ghettos, AI and other disruptions to the economy and how the government controls the populace will destabilize society. It probably won't start with white people however, rather brown people doing what brown people do, panic, demagogues, hysterical witch hunts, quickly moving to violence, white people will want to get the fuck away from these people for practical reasons, they will quickly learn they will never be part of their "tribe", only their own, that it was naive like imagining the nerd could get the football team to join the chess club.

Then white people will flock together and do what white people do.
