Generally the US military is where poor americans go, and it seems like poor americans are pretty short on average(poor nutrition?), also, poland selects the tallest dudes they can for these pics, and the US Army has a max height allowed at 6'8". There was quite a few 6' ft plus dudes in my basic training though, almost all of them white dudes from michigan for some reason.

Poor Americans are not malnourished. They are over-nourished, boasting the highest obesity rates. The real answer is that half of our armed forces right now were literally born somewhere else. Poor americans definitely get plenty of calories, but not essential nutrients. But you are definitely on to something with the foriegner part. I was human resources in the army (color blindness barred me from almost every MOS, even infantry) and our AIT was next to finance AIT, out of like 240 trainees there was like 40-90 different countries(dont remember the number) in it, almost everyone was a foriegner. Less so in my AIT but still lots of foriegners.

Lots of pure Whites in the US and it's either ignorant or disengenuous to deny that. We haven't racemixed so much, but it varies by area. A lot more racemixing in south florida than where I lived in the deep south (Alabama and Georgia) for example. Im 100 percent western European and so is all of my family, even extended from what I can tell. Even all my sisters have White husbands and kids, even the gen z one now does.

Does it matter? If anything, it benefits a cannon fodder unit to be smaller. Makes you harder to hit, you know.
