Germans never elected Hitler. He got 40% at most but then used emergency powers to usurp power.
Not to mention that his own ss soldiers refused orders en masse during the kristalnacht.
Germans don't hate jews. They hate Russians. The same SS soldiers that felt bad for the jews on Kristalnacht felt nothing for the Poles and Russians that were killed

The poor, average Russian people have felt powerless to affect change, they were briefly hopeful in 1917, but soon disillusioned by the mid to late 20s, back to the slave mentality.

Strongman oligarchic gangsterism is all they’ve known for centuries

Russia would’ve done fine had Lenin survived or Trotsky took over.

I don’t I never use Reddit so I don’t know what they say there.

in some ways sure,

socialism is fine and communism in theory is good. I’m just pointing out how, Russia did have two potentially good leaders in Lenin or Trotsky, but due to bad luck and persecution they didn’t get either.

Imagine a Venn diagram.
One circle represents qualities that make someone a good leader. Selfless, a measured degree of empathy, intelligence, wisdom, charisma, etc.
One circle represents qualities which are necessary to become a leader. Ambition, ruthlessness, cunning, etc.
In the systems of most nations, there is some degree of overlap between the two. The best nations favor the former over the latter.
In Russia, they're two entirely separate circles. To get to the top in Russia, you must have all of the qualities that make you a monstrous human being, and none of the qualities that would actually make you good at running the country. Practically everything about the way Russia is, is designed to select for ruthless despots.
