The Western question
The West brought significant technological advancements, and many of their scientists developed beneficial technologies that saved countless lives and reduced starvation and famine. However, they achieved this through the exploitation of weaker nations and the killing of millions of natives in Africa and the Americas. They also humiliated Asian nations like China, India, and even Japan. While their technology was impressive and almost miraculous, we cannot ignore the heavy price others had to pay. Moreover, while medical and agricultural innovations benefited humanity, they also created technologies that stripped away the soul and dignity of humans, disrupting natural and fulfilling ways of life. This made everything feel bland, tasteless, and soulless. Essentially, Western progress provided comfort and safety (though some might argue otherwise) but came at the cost of the human soul, which is, in my opinion, far more important.
