Is Texas sustainable? 10+ million people are expected to move to the state over the course of the next decade.

Actually, Texan officials themselves are urging people to move to Texas:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARDfHfMxy8Q

It's official Texas state policy to encourage mass-immigration.

Probably, you're just going to see the Texas Triangle move inwards i imagine. It'll take a lot more than 10mil more people i think but at minimum i think San Antonio to Killeen will be a solid line of Urban/Suburban. Houston will expand to include College station and Dallas-Ft Worth will move north to Sherman-Denison.

The only potential issue is grid infrastructure. Texas needs to revamp the CREZ system for higher loads, because they're 60 years overdue, but it's going to devour the budget surplus for the next 20 years to accomplish that, and the D/FW area and possibly San Antonio will be on brownout schedule while the lines get upgraded. 20 years of brownouts, minimum.

this is horrific
imagine by 2050, the triangle is just a massive, distended mega houston; an ocean of stripmalls and trackhomes spanning hundreds of square miles

fucking kek The Urban part of the Houston metro is already around 1600 square miles (out of the entire Metro being 10k square miles).
The Texas Triangle if it turned into suburban hell would be the size of Tunisia at 62k Square miles

I have predicted this for about a decade. It will probably be the first mega region in the country. When people move to Texas they are primarily moving to the Texas Triangle.
The further West you go from I-35 the more sparse. Almost no one is moving into East Texas. I bet 90% plus move into the Texas Triangle.

It already is, Dallas-Ft Worth is mostly moving north really, There's at least one study looking at dredging the red river all the way from Shreveport to Sherman which would probably draw a lot more people north as well. That said Lake Texoma will probably keep stuff from actually moving into Oklahoma.

Not really. There are gaps between zones (like NYC and Philly or NYC and Boston or Baltimore and Philly, etc.). And the region is not really growing in population anymore, so that's unlikely to change.

Theroetically Texas could host every single living person in the world, at a density of 10 people per acre, which is better than the average suburb.

Granted, that's using every single viable living inch.

Majority of NJ is rural/farms, surburbs, or woods... with a few major cities and towns. It's called the Garden state for a reason, despite the rep it got from 'Sopranos' and 'Jersey Shore'.

amerimutts don't know how to build walkable cities/neighborhoods. they need their cars to drive anywhere. instead of building actual decent cities and public transport. they build suburb shitholes and think electric cars are the future

just leave. Texas is a shithole. No idea why people shill for it. I always see american right wingers shilling for Florida and Texas as some sort of paradise. But in reality they are shitholes.

USA is a lost cause. There is no saving it. People need to realize this. Use the USA as just a means to a end . In terms of getting $ and leaving.

>>519241308
Do it then. Fun fact you won't. Obama was mor effective at deporting than Trump lol. Instead Trump just does highly publicized ICE raids at home depots pretending he is actually doing something. Still no mass deportations. And Trump has been in politics for almost a decade. Yet his retarded cult supporters still shill for him.
