You can follow what you suppose would be a logical progression all day and anger yourself over it, but it didn't happen.
In case you haven't noticed, talking big is what Trump does, and I don't mean that he's blowing smoke for no reason. He said words about tariffs that made the entire world rage. Leftists raged as if it already happened, then when what he says initially changes to something else, they say he lost. Without the bold words that enraged the world initially, how likely do you think it'd be that any of the world's governments would be willing to even consider a renegotiation of trade relations with the US? Before you can negotiate with someone, you have to get their attention. If they think you're toothless, they ignore you. So far, very few are ignoring Trump, and the ones who try aren't successful. We still have 3.25 years for the rage to turn into negotiations. Trump is winning, just not the way leftist politicians do it.
