Man I wish I could sum up my posts in like 3 sentences instead of these walls of text.
Anyway, we want society to harmonize. The elite supports the bottom, and vice versa. But there's always going to be tension. In order to harmonize, the arguments shouldn't be over "what should be do" but rather "what's the best way to do it"?
So both christians and eugenicists agree nuclear family is important, for different reasons. The elite guys will stick their nose up and snark at the religious people for their foolish beliefs, and yet still respect them and carry forth their basic mission.
Anyway, the basic paradigm is the difference between implicit and explicit beliefs. This is a VERY rich topic and the only person I've seen discussing it is Ryan Faulk

Basically so-called "conservatives" are implicit, and "liberals" are explicity.
Implicit knowledge is gained through long experience, trial and error.
Excplicit knowledge is gained through "thinking about it rationally".
Oftentimes people with implicit knowledge are right about everything they believe. But they don't know why. They will often have trouble justifying their beliefs to an explicit thinker. This is the basic problem. It's the job of the elites to go out, listen to them, and fashion an explanation, so that their concerns might be addressed. This is the basic process of a harmonized society.
You might think of the peasants as a giant brain that's dreaming. With a scant thought there, and a flicker of emotion here. Like a vast ocean of experience that is floating out there, which crystalizes as vague emotions and sentiments they cannot explain. The elites are explicit thinkers, it's their job to encapsulate the sentiments and fashion them into a razor sharp knife of action.
By the way, the Bouchard study, I neglected to post it.
