No they haven't. USA has a base there and denmark and the natives are happy to host us. Denmark hasn't "Developed" the island because the natives get a say in how resources are extracted. Also it's a froozen ice box it's not like you're going to have mega cities up there.

The reason for the West's strength is that we realized we don't have to annex one another which just causes dissent, anger, and conflict. If we annex Canada and get a bunch of angry Canadians who become a fifth column who will accept Russian/Chinese support to fight back that's a waste. If we annex Greenland we turn the entire EU against us for no reason.

USA is heavily integrated into Canadian and Greenlandic defense. Why tf would you annex them just because you hate map gore with alaska or something. It would be like Netherlands invading Flanders and tearing apart NATO for no reason. It literally makes no sense when we're cooperating just fine.

Canada did Disaster Relief Exercises, Military Visits / Exchanges, Observation Roles, and Non-Combat Cooperation. USA has done all of these with the PLA before. Neither USA or Canada has done it since 2018 when things started to really heat back up.
