There is at least one state here, New Jersey, where a law was passed that you are not allowed to self serve gas. Was like that when i was born there ages ago and still i believe to this day. Was a throwback toa nicer time, like in the 50's where you had 'full service' stations where an attendant would come out and fill you up, wash your windows, check your tire pressure etc al. However, after living in an area thats self serve, I much prefer it. There should be both options, self and full imo.

They want to remove 98 completely or put ethanol in that shit too. You can put in lower octane gas into higher compression engines but they will "ping," which is when combustion is initiated during the compression phase rather than via the spark-plug timing.
