While anyone can apply, they have such a titanic backlog that most aren't even going to get to make an attempt. They also have a notoriously rigorous entry exam that fails most applicants right off the bat. There's also a lie detector test that, more often than not, fails honest applicants because lie detectors are a complete and utter counterproductive meme as-is. Don't know if they still do the lie detector test, but the physical entry test is still in place and as brutal as ever. It's why the majority of ICE agents you see are actually either fit or just not fat compared to a lot of the National Guard and what not.
