We blamed the USA for the Nord Stream blast literally the same day it went down. Everyone wouldve pointed fingers at the States anyway, so whats the difference? Theres no clear proof. A Polish court ruled its not entirely certain whether that Ukrainian diver did it, and even if he did, his actions are justified since Ukraine is a victim of an aggressive war. Blowing up Nord Stream should be seen as hitting military infrastructure because Russia funds the war with oil money. So, they let him go home, calling him a victim of unfounded German accusations.
