Downfall of the West
Trump is driven by personal engrandizement.
He isn't really interested in reaching peace anywhere in the world, all he wants is to leave a legacy as a "peacemaker" but he's failing to solve any of the conflicts in the world long-term.
Why? Because if you'd be interested in long-term real peace in any region, you'd first try to study and understand the causes of conflict.
He doesn't do that. And USA as a whole doesn't do that. Neither does NATO nor EU do it.
The only major powers interested in causes of conflict are Russia, China, India.
What does this mean? It means that the collective West has both:
>lack of competence
and
>lack of interest
to continue playing the role of a unipolar hegemon, because they can't and don't want to hegemon anymore. They only believe that they have a right to LARP a hegemon, but they lost the brains and the tools to do it for real.
