James Fields never admitted that he did this on purpose. His car, his prized posession was struck multiple times and the road was blocked off w\ parked cars. States like Florida have sense enacted legislation to protect people in James Field's position.

If his car was being struck, I personally would think he would be looking behind him to see what happened, and likely expecting the crowd to move out of the way.
