US living in Canada for nearly a decade here.
I repatriate by the end of next week.
Canada is fucking done. Absolutely WRECKED country with a future that looks like brown watery shit and smells like curry. Housing is insane, taxes are insane, the CAD was 77 USD/dollar when I got here, and now it's frequently below 70 USD/dollar.
Tech, manufacturing, game development and animation industries are done. Nobody has the money to hire anymore, and if they do, it's jeets on six month contract work. People in nearly every white collar industry who are under 40 can't find permanent employment unless they accept staggeringly low wages. Being brown helps.
Construction that started before I got here hasn't been finished in over eight years. The Anglo population is completely inoculated to government corruption, viewing anybody perceptive enough to point it out as "problematic" and fundamentally non-Canadian.
Service is terrible, the state of medical coverage and care is in shambles. Certain life-saving procedures are no longer available in Canada because of endemic brain drain -- the brightest minds in medicine hop the border to practice in the USA literally days after obtaining even the hint of a US residency.
The difference in quality-of-life potential between the US and Canada is hilarious. It's not even close. Being in the top 25% of economic stability in the US is like being in the richest 3% of Canada. If you make over 100k USD in the US, you're richer than 99.9% of Canadians after taxes.
Canada is going to be drowning in an endless avalanche of curry-orange and brown shit within a decade. It's BAD here folks.
