So, given that Canada has a lot of money tied up, where can you get money for new investments? Well, take a look at the average income of senior software engineers from companies like Meta or Google. How much money do you think they could potentially bring in when they liquidate their assets and move here? I mean, sure, they could keep their money in the US and have it be tied up on investments there. But anyone with half a brain understands that there's risk in having your money in a country that most H-1B folks would get barred from (re)entering the moment they lose their jobs.
