It's called the art of the deal you retard. Trump wants something, China refuses, Trump pressures with tariffs, China freaks out and submits, tariffs get lowered.

Reciprocal.

He did a good job and got a deal. It could lead to a much bigger trade deal. It was actually positive.

Rare earth released, sales on crops. Tarrifs dropped prior to Christmas.

Potentially bigger deals next year. The markets are happy.

>He pointed out that both countries have "promising prospects" for cooperation in areas such as handling illegal immigrants, cyber fraud, money laundering and artificial intelligence, according to the readout on Xinhua News Agency.

"China and the United States can jointly demonstrate the responsibility befitting of major powers, working together to accomplish more significant, practical and beneficial undertakings for both nations and for the world," he said.

Tariff reduction is not a win.
China still can't export cars to north america and europe.
Tariffs are still high than they were in 2016.
Sorry bro, but nothing has changed.

In regards to the tariff schedule he talked about a reduction from a 57% tariff to a 47% tariff due to some action on fentanyl but nothing has been signed. That’s pretty much everything that came out of the meeting besides talk of a trade deal sometime in the future.

China controls 80% of rare earth processing—the neurons of every weapon system, smartphone, and AI server on planet Earth. One element: neodymium. Without it, F-35s don’t fly. Teslas don’t move. Data centers go dark.
Trump threatened to destroy $300 billion in Chinese exports with 100% tariffs.
Beijing responded by threatening to choke the global technology supply chain.
Then something impossible happened.
THE 72-HOUR CHECKMATE:
October 24: Malaysia signs mineral pact. October 25: Thailand signs processing deal. October 26: Framework announced. China blinks.
Hidden in the fine print: $13 billion Australian rare earth processing. Cambodia extraction rights. Japan’s 2010 playbook—which cut Chinese dependency 30%—now deployed across $350 billion in American AI infrastructure.
THE NUMBER THAT ENDS GLOBALIZATION:
US-China trade: $758B (2018) $578B (2024)
That $180 billion didn’t vanish. It relocated to nations that bend the knee.
ASEAN trade up 20%. Chinese rare earth market share dropping for first time in 30 years. American supply chains rerouting in real-time while Beijing realizes the trap.
HERE’S WHAT THEY’RE NOT TELLING YOU:
This isn’t trade negotiation. It’s tribute collection.
Trump just converted the world’s largest consumer market from a trade partner into a weapon. Every nation now faces a choice: access to American markets, or access to Chinese supply chains.
Not both. Ever again.
The $20 billion basedbean freeze—first since 2018—isn’t retaliation. It’s a demonstration. China can inflict pain. America can inflict extinction.
THE PATTERN THAT BROKE REALITY:
Seventeen times since 2018, identical playbook: Announce apocalyptic tariffs. Markets crater. China retaliates. Then—exemptions appear for allies. Pressure multiplies on Beijing.
63% of Chinese goods face maximum tariffs. Allied nations: 4%.
Chink shills btfo (ID: Yzbub0GV) United States No.520173346 [Report] >>520174481
Every “chaotic” threat was a calculated bid. Every “impulsive” tweet moved supply chains. Every “Trade War” headline masked the systematic dismantling of Chinese technological sovereignty. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
November 1: Xi meets Trump at APEC.
The deal is already done. Rare earth access for tariff relief. American boots on Asian rare earth facilities. China gets to save face.
America gets the future.
Taiwan, AI dominance, technological independence, and the end of competitive multipolarity—all bundled into a “trade framework” the media will call a truce.
THE TRUTH:
Globalization didn’t collapse.
It was conquered.

He'll reopen the government now. At least 155% of something didn't crash the markets even more.

Positive in that result. Shutdown gets lifted. Markets are happy.

What exactly changed, speculative? However, there's beans and rare earth. And? You tell me. It's potentially another meeting.

This topic is sad. Bend the knee. No. It was largely publicity anyway. What happens next year? Who knows.

It's gonna take more than publicity. Trade deal. Peace. Or whatever. In any case at least it's a bit more positive from this?

Trump also paused Section 301 controls targeting china's shipbuilding industry and while china promised to do the same china can attack sk and japanese shipbuilders.
Trump proposed this deal in order to build more leverage in the future and Xi accepted because it lets him attack and extort Europe, SK and Japan's industries all he wants during the truce.

Remember before all this drama when taxes on everything imported from China were a small fraction what they are now, and US industry could import rare earths (or anything else) freely from China?

What a catastrophe that was. Good thing Trump intervened to save us from efficient free trade and replaced it with his deal of the week.

serious answer: you need people to buy ur shit. petrodollar is the current global currency (china trying to stop this with BRICS), backed by the US military. chinese economy is soft now. if the US stops importing goods, chinese goods will experience a price crash, factories will shut down, unemployment will rise, and they will experience inflation.

they hold tons of US debt but have been smartly delinking for years, but Trump is forcing their hand now. china doesnt have a choice, as the US still has leverage.

Yeah it's funny how we're exploiting the shit out of desperate chinks who are poisoning and destroying their own land and resources to make fiat money from us. After they're all used up they'll slide back into poverty and starvation while America's resources remain untouched. How the world hasn't caught on to America's long-term strategy of pumping the rest of the world dry then pulling up the ladder before using our resources is beyond me. Then again, all smart people left their home countries long ago to move to America so only betas and midwits are left in their native lands.
