Because jeets are worth at least negative 100k
World leaders have a faulty view of economics, which treats every individual walking biped without feathers as an interchangeable economic unit.
This is an irrational and emotional interpretation of an enlightenment philosophy from europe than encouraged a hopeful rejection of slavery.
It's false because
1) individual humans are not interchangeable (equivalent as economic models imply) for example.
>you likely wouldn't trade your family/friends for other randomly selected individuals.
2) humans are not even really individuals, it's more important to view them as a pod or school of monkeys. For example,
>basically every church/religion ever encourages self sacrifice for the collective good. Humans largely enjoy religion.
This results in some pretty severe discrepancies in predicted outcomes and actual outcomes.
1) governments try to replace educated workers with high standards of living with less educated workers with low standards of living. This cripples the economy because a worker with a low standard of living doesn't consume, they invest only.
2) families operate off books and begin to pick up petty (often whitecollar) crime because it's simply advantageous to be your own provider of security and authority. Especially when strange individuals hijack and destroy the ritualized self sacrifice that made society tolerable.
As time to respond to car crashes increase, big economists and governments count a line going up. This is delusion as it's a clear example the "individual" is valued less, despite being interchangeable and "equal"
