i don't agree children should inherit money. You shouldn't give your children the expectation that someone else will be there to wait on them. That's what money is, a sort of certificate that you are owed some material wealth or labor at some future point.. Really the material wealth is what should be guaranteed but only through the process of hard work. Giving someone 100 forested acres and some tools is more appropriate as an inheritance.. and really it's more meaningful because dollars will devalue and it doesn't matter if you leave your kid 500 million dollars if in 20 years there is nothing of value to buy with it because we have consumed everything and have to eat the bugs.

Wouldn't it make sense to make it so the kid can only access the wealth when they turn 30 or something? And you could even keep it secret from them. So they have to go out into the world, make a go of it, but even if they fail and have a rough time, when they turn 30, bam, they get access to the fortune. And you could even have it set up so that they can't access the whole amount all at once. Maybe the fund only gives them $100K a year maximum. I think there are ways to do it where the kid won't grow up to be a waste of space.

Alternatively, you could just be a good parent and raise your children right so that even though they have access to near limitless wealth they still develop properly and become good people. But that seems impossible for absentee hollywood parents.
