is las vegas slot machines the perfect analogy for how good boomers actually have it? We have a whole generation who's actual unironic hobby is wasting money at slot machines, this is what they do, this is how they pass time by burning away money.

Is there seriously a better example for how easy these people have it?

they have so much money.
this webm was before covid however. which they said was the greatists generational wealth transfer.
vegas is also a boomer thing too,
perhaps they are all just money mules for laundering money , and have to do something with all the cash they've been storing under their mattresses.

the casino is always open , and everyone else in their knitting circles are probably dead and gone. to arthritic to knit, but you don't even need hands to press buttons on those machines

Las Vegas and the surrounding area have the potential to be a great city. The Strip is what is holding it back. inb4 you say "muh industry!1!" Vegas could easily rebrand itself as a historic and scenic destination like Phoenix and SLC. Boomers and chicangolese niggers are holding Vegas back big time.

No it doesn't.

>muh industry!1!
But that's correct. There is literally nothing out there in that desert to support that scale of development other than high-margin entertainment hustles.

It is not nearly as expensive to keep Phoenix and SLC hospitable. Both of those cities were founded and built up because it was and is not too difficult to irrigate them, so they were natural sites for human habitation that then benefited later from discoveries like mineable resources. Las Vegas was founded because it was cheap land next to a rail line, the natural oases were never comparable to the water available in the other two, and the only reason it ever developed was because unsavory people could do high-margin activities there that other places would not tolerate. That's the only raison d'etre it ever had.

Only a few geriatrics in pic related. A simpler explanation is that gambling addicts eventually get old.

2/3 of all retired boomers rely primarily on their Social Security checks to survive.

Their income is poverty level, but some 60% of them are still married and 67% of them own homes.

38% of boomers have adult children living with them.

I know this because I work at Citibank, Global Debit Card Services. We host the EBT NACHA services.
